The successful (SDR) candidate will be a self-starter with a track record of achieving measurable inside sales goals through successful, credible lead follow-up and communicating with executives in an organization.
Sales Development Representatives (SDR) are responsible for driving revenue through telephone prospecting, identifying, contacting and creating new qualified sales opportunities.
The SDR responds to inbound lead activity and cold calls to generate outbound lead activity in their territory, qualifying active buying interest and developing opportunities in prospect accounts. The SDR will also coordinate with their Sales counterparts to coordinate prospecting activities to secure a sufficient flow of additional qualified leads and opportunities.
SDR is to conduct business dealings in a way that creates a superior prospect experience that will set the stage for effective sales follow-up, as well as future product sales.
Responsibilities of the SDR are to generate business leads to achieve short and long term revenue goals:
• Develop and maintain a lead pipeline through the Customer Relationship Management System
• Prospect and qualify Target Accounts and inbound leads to create sales-ready leads and opportunities
• Research accounts, identify key players, generate interest and develop accounts to stimulate opportunity
• Disseminate opportunities to appropriate AE, educating rep as necessary about the opportunity
• Successfully manage and overcome prospect objections
• Update lead and prospect interaction in salesforce.com to ensure efficient lead management
• Consistently achieve qualified opportunity quotas to ensure territory revenue objectives.
• Provide closed-loop feedback to ensure continuous process optimization
Skills/Experience You should have worked in an automated sales environment where accurate entry and management of lead data in a CRM system was required, demonstrated successful leads pipeline development and delivered on quotas. You work with the highest level of integrity and meet or exceed the following qualifications:
• 1 to 3 years experience in sales and college degree or equivalent work experience
• Ability to work independently from a home office with exceptional time and territory management
• Interact with prospects via heavy telephone prospecting
• Lead/Opportunity qualification and objection handling
• Positive and energetic phone skills, Pre-call planning, call structure, listening skills
• Proficient with standard corporate productivity tools (Internet, email, voicemail, MS Office)
• Familiarity with a professional selling methodology, sales training and salesforce.com experience a plus
